Wonderful news!

Last Sunday, our goal for giving to Haiti Relief through Samaritan's Purse was $9000 for a water filtration plant which can serve 500 families a day. You gave $30,000! THANK YOU! This pays for almost 3 water systems! Just think—clean water for almost two thousand families a day!

You can still give any time through the church. For the time being, any monies that continue to come in, we will pass on to Samaritan's Purse. Checks should be made out to Bedford Community Church, with "Haiti Relief" or "Samaritan's Purse" in the memo space.

Pastor Dan Haugh, of the Bedford Community Church, had returned from a routine trip the Monday before the earthquake, but once he saw the images of destruction being broadcast from the already impoverished nation, he says he had to return.

Haugh helped coordinate helicopters from the Dominican Republic to bring people into the remote areas of the devastated nation.

Haugh says that the people of Haiti have already overcome great adversity, but says "they have a really strong spirit about them, which is necessary for what they're going through right now." Read the full article and see the video here ››

What are MOPS Meetings Like?

Each month we have a speaker discussing different aspects of raising children and motherhood. Topics this year include: discipling your children, nutrition, "Christ Being Our Home", setting your spiritual goals and intimacy with your spouse.

Don't worry about skipping breakfast- we have plenty of great food each month. Our friendly greeters will help you in the door and help you get your children settled into their classrooms.

The MOPPETS program provides a safe and nurturing environment for the kids. The children are grouped by age. They spend the time listening to a Bible story, creating a craft, having a snack and playing with new friends.

Love and Marriage
Speaker: Bob Beverley

Bob Beverley will be speaking to us on marriage just in time for Valentine’s Day. Bob is a psychotherapist in the mid-Hudson valley of New York State, USA. He has written How to Be a Christian and Still Be Sane and The Secret Behind the Secret Law of Attraction (with Kevin Hogan, Dave Lakhani, and Blair Warren). Bob is also the leader of a unique, life-changing experience called THE M GROUP.

Bob has written four e-books: How to be Wildly Successful Even If You Know You Are A Loser; Get Books! Get Wisdom!; The Power of Fear; and The Core. These books contain short-cuts to wisdom and success.

Bob is a native of New Brunswick, Canada. He graduated with a degree in philosophy and English Literature from Gordon College, Wenham, Mass. He spent a junior year abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. He received a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is an ordained Minister since 1981 and is also a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors. We meet on Sunday mornings at 11:00am and Wednesday nights from 7-9pm. Our students come from many different backgrounds and represent over 10 different high schools in the area. In our community, we place building authentic relationships at the highest level...relationships with God and with each other.

Our ministry consists of fun events and activities, service opportunities, spiritual formation, mentored relationships, Bible studies, and opportunities to learn what it means to Love God and Love Others.

We are constantly discovering what it means to live our lives as followers of Jesus and to allow God to use us to bring hope and restoration to a broken world.

Outlet Jr. High Ministries
Outlet Middle school ministries is for 6-8th grade students and meet at BCC on Thursday nights from 6:30-8pm. Through fun games, wild and crazy activities and skits, and plenty of time for fun and friends, students are encouraged to connect with one another.

We also provide challenging and inspiring messages from Bible that speak into the lives of our teens.

College Ministry
Here at Bedford Community church, we provide a ministry to our returning BCC graduates when they come home for school breaks during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and summer.

Our desire is that each one will look forward to coming home each break because of the ministry that exists for them here. We also provide opportunities for service for college students looking to go into ministry. If you are in college, we want you to think of us as your "home away from home".
