::Fusion:: High School Ministry

The youth ministry at BCC exists to restore students to God and to others, through Christ.

We try to keep it simple: "Love God and Love Others" We take Jesus' model and teachings to a very practical level, looking for real ways to reach out and serve our neighbors and communities.

Fusion Youth Group is an active community made up of local high school students from all over Westchester county, NY. In addition to several events and activities each month, we meet every Sunday morning at 11:00am and Wednesday evenings from 6:30-9pm. (New Time)

Here at BCC, we are aware that our community exists wherever we find ourselves. In this way, our Christian lives are not limited to what we do inside the walls of our church or during our meeting times, but are expressed through our lives.

We welcome you to join us at any of our meetings, hang out times, activities, trips and retreats, meals, service opportunities, or conversations. We invite you to Explore, Dream, and Discover the purpose and plans God has for your life. Together, we hope to pursue the dreams of Jesus for our world.

We take this journey together by striving to be the following:

Relational
Honest, sincere, and authentic friendships. By truly loving others the way Jesus did, we experience the inviting presence of Jesus in our midst. We want to enter into the lives of young people. Share in their dreams, hopes, and joys and also walk with them through the difficult, painful, and confusing times of life. (Acts 4:32)

Missional
We believe that God intends Christians to be a blessing to the world. We seek to live in such a way that sends us into the world to serve God and our neighbors. Our hope and prayer is that God's will may be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

We are the hands and feet (action), mouth (words), and heartbeat (compassionate love) of Jesus to a broken world. We want to partner with God to promote reconciliation...get right with God and get right with others. (2 Corinthians 5: 17-19)

Holistic
We understand that all areas of life are connected, including faith, school, work, friends, parents, our bodies, self-esteem, money, intellect, and talents. We seek to meet the physical, academic, intellectual, emotional, and relational needs of our students.

Every area in our lives are part of being a human (spiritual) being created in God's likeness. If one part suffers, than the whole suffers and our prayer is for the whole well-being of the entire student...their complete spirituality.

Christian
We seek to learn and grow each day to follow the way of Jesus. This encompasses every aspect of our lives and we desire to let the very power and presence of Jesus flow into and out of us.
While we offer many fun activities throughout the year, our main desire is to facilitate the spiritual formation of each student in the way of Jesus.

We dream of a youth group where:
We meet with God individually and in community

Students who are not Christians become followers of Jesus

The Bible is read as God's revealed interaction with humanity and in it we can discover His dreams for our lives

Differences are embraced and celebrated

We are united in Christ across religious barriers

Culture is met, embraced, and transformed

Worship is experienced as more than just what we do on Sundays

The Kingdom of God is increased in real ways around the world

Joy, laughter, excitement, and adventure are experienced

Faith, Hope, and Love are a way of life

The whole story of God is understood in its entirety complexity, and mystery

We are real and authentic in our relationships with God and others

We minister to one another out of love and respect

Truth, justice, honesty, integrity, and health are promoted

God's Spirit is invited and given freedom to move in our meetings and our lives

Service is our heartbeat

God uses us and our resources to heal the world.

We live in the world as followers of Jesus
