Mothers of Pre-Schoolers
Mothers of Preschoolers welcomes all mothers with children
ages 0 to 5. We meet the first Thursday of every month from September to June. Meetings start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 11:45 a.m. Childcare is included through our MOPPETS program.
What are MOPS Meetings Like?
Each month we have a speaker discussing different aspects of raising children and motherhood. Topics this year include: discipling your children, nutrition, "Christ Being Our Home", setting your spiritual goals and intimacy with your spouse.
Don't worry about skipping breakfast- we have plenty of great food each month. Our friendly greeters will help you in the door and help you get your children settled into their classrooms.
The MOPPETS program provides a safe and nurturing environment for the kids. The children are grouped by age. They spend the time listening to a Bible story, creating a craft, having a snack and playing with new friends.
THURSDAY, APRIL 8, 2010
Start time: 9:30 a.m.
Child care ends at 11:45 a.m.

Dr. Smith obtained his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the New School for Social Research in New York City, and prior to joining The Boggs Center spent 9 years at the Westchester Institute for Human Development where he worked extensively in the area of Positive Behavior Support. This included the delivery of training and technical assistance to schools and residential treatment programs across the state, as well as collaboration with the New York Autism Network.
Dr. Smith is also a co-author of the book Positive Strategies for Students with Behavior Problems, which provides an overview of Functional Behavior Assessment and Positive Behavior Intervention Planning in school settings.
