Personal & Corporate
I have a friend who makes the greatest chocolate chip cookies on Earth. They come from an old family recipe. It’s been passed down, treasured, and is deeply personal. But here’s the great thing: when she bakes them, she doesn’t keep them to herself. She shares them, and suddenly, here I am, getting to share in something personal, meaningful, and absolutely delicious. Sometimes sharing what is personal allows it to become even more meaningful. And who knows, you might even discover someone with an amazing hot cocoa recipe that makes the perfect pairing.
Faith isn’t so different. Our relationship with Jesus is meant to be deeply personal, but it was never meant to be private. We bring our stories and our faith into a community and discover what others bring to the table too. This Sunday in The Kingdom of This & That, we’ll learn what it means that following Jesus is both personal & corporate.
