Tozer once wrote, ‘When the habit of inwardly gazing Godward becomes fixed within us we shall be ushered onto a new level of spiritual life…’ The inward gaze Godward is faith, but the habit is prayer. And no other prayer captures the effective gaze Godward than the prayer that we are taught by Jesus.
